Veterinary Services at Norfolk Dog & Cat Hospital
The team at Dog & Cat Hospital is proud to provide the highest quality veterinary services to our patients. We offer veterinary services to Norfolk including teeth cleaning for dogs and cats, surgeries for pets, pet boarding, routine medical care, and more. Please contact us if you have questions about your pet’s care.
Bathing appointments at Dog & Cat Hospital are scheduled Monday thru Friday. We do baths using our Hydrosurge bathing system. Cats may be bathed (with or without sedation), although at times it may be stressful for them. All baths include nail trims, ear cleaning and anal sac expression.
We provide digital x-rays or electronic imaging that allows for immediate viewing and analysis. We also utilize a service that allows our x-ray images to be reviewed by specialists trained in animal radiology.
Dentals & Routine Surgery
Dog & Cat Hospital dental procedures and routine surgery procedures are performed Monday thru Friday, by appointment only. We can usually get your pet scheduled for a procedure within 1-2 days of your call, but we recommend contacting us as soon as possible to request dental care.
Microchipping is important for pets that are traveling here and abroad, and also for pets that are staying home. Remember that traditional pet identification methods do not successfully keep your pet linked to you, but microchipping does. We’ll be glad to give you more details; just ask!
Health certificates are required for pet travel, whether interstate or international. We can help provide the documentation needed, but please keep in mind that owners are responsible for researching all information needed when travelling overseas.
Regular physical examinations are absolutely essential to keeping your growing puppy and kitten on the right track to good health, ensuring that your adult pet remains healthy, and catching potential health concerns early for your senior pet. Individual pets have their own special needs as well, and regular annual physical examinations will help keep track of them.
The in-house pharmacy at Dog & Cat Hospital stocks most of the medicines necessary to treat and keep your pet healthy.
